Brake Fluid Service

The brake system uses a glycol-based hydraulic fluid that is "hygroscopic," which means it absorbs moisture over time (usually though rubber brake lines). Moisture lowers the boiling point of the fluid and causes internal corrosion in the brake system.

Benefit of Service : To ensure proper brake performance and lower repair cost to brake system and ABS.

Service Interval : Fluid should be replaced every two years, 30,000 miles, or when brake repairs are made.
